Vero is a traditional family run Italian restaurant,
in Orpington, near Bromley, Kent, that excels in serving the
classics of Italian cuisine in a fresh, modern manner. Fresh
and vibrant minestrone is garnished with fresh roast garlic
tortellini's and pesto croutons. Each day we have a fresh pasta
dish - gnocchi with wild mushrooms, ravioli with pumpkin and
sage, tagliatelle with porcini and rabbit for example. Meats
and fish are well sourced and simply cooked with just the right
touch of seasoning and flavouring. Vegetables are not just a
garnish, and can be enjoyed as a course in their own right -
artichokes with pesto, wilted cavalo nero with chilli and garlic,
fried courgettes, new potatoes with fresh rosemary and pancetta,
borlotti beans with tomato and basil.
Desserts are made by our chefs in the kitchen. Our menu shows
just the right balance between tradition and modern Italy, we
certainly will not throw out the old dishes, simply for the
sake of it. Our small menu will be supplemented with exciting
daily dishes to keep you thrilled on every visit. Our service
is unique, friendly and informal with our many regular customers
enjoying first name terms - favourite dishes are remembered
by the staff and when requested and wherever possible, we can
cook the dish of your choice. The business customer is equally
well looked after, we know when to stand back and offer a discreet,
professional service. Unlike the chain operators, we are not
governed by head office, give us your request and we will come
back with an answer right away. Vero is an extension of our
home, and without doubt, Italian family hospitality is amongst
the best in the world.
